Amy R. Oalican focuses her practice on estate, probate and trust administration, and filing complex MassHealth applications for individuals and couples. With a career that spans roles in private practice, government service, and education, Ms. Oalican brings a multidisciplinary approach to address her clients’ legal needs.
Ms. Oalican began her legal career with the Department of Justice practicing Immigration Law. She then served in the legal department of the Division of Medical Assistance (MassHealth), where she defended the agency in Massachusetts courts. Ms. Oalican later joined the Commonwealth’s Appellate Tax Board as Tax Counsel, analyzing legal issues and drafting decisions for the Board.
Prior to joining Seder & Chandler, Ms. Oalican’s private practice included filing complex Medicaid applications, probate administration and managing the business operations of the firm.
In addition to her legal work, Ms. Oalican obtained her Masters of Education and has served as a Middle School Learning Specialist in the Boston Public Schools. She believes that education plays an important role across all pursuits. She enjoys sharing knowledge so clients have a better understanding of the legal issues affecting them.
