Andrew C. Bartholomew is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group at Seder & Chandler.  Andy’s practice includes a variety of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, business torts, real estate disputes, and corporate ownership disputes.  While he is committed to providing his clients with excellent legal representation, he also understands the importance of giving prompt, straightforward answers and practical advice to help them navigate their most difficult problems.

Andy has experience in all phases of litigation, from drafting complaints to arguing motions and filing appeals.  His representative matters include: successfully defeating a large corporate tenant’s motion to dismiss claims brought by a family-owned real estate business for breach of the parties’ commercial lease; assisting with a jury trial in federal court involving claims brought by an alleged ousted partner of a multimillion-dollar cannabis venture; second-chairing a jury trial in defense of the City of Worcester against claims brought by a nearby municipality for decades’ worth of allegedly excessive sewer charges; and successfully defending the owners of certain assisted living residences in class actions brought by former residents for purported violations of the Massachusetts security deposit statute.

Prior to joining Seder & Chandler, Andy worked as an Associate at Bowditch & Dewey, LLP and previously served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court from 2016-2017.  In his free time, Andy enjoys playing basketball, an occasional hike in the White Mountains, and training his two young sons to watch New England sports.
