Notable Transaction: SederLaw Prevails on Dual Injunctions in Business Dispute
SederLaw’s Litigation and Business and Corporate Law Practice Groups, recently obtained a favorable judgement in a closely held business dispute. Partners, Kurt L. Binder and James A. Vevone, represented a majority owner of a closely held manufacturing business faced with claims asserted by minority stockholders seeking to enjoin a special meeting of stockholders. The trial court denied the minority’s attempt to enjoin the meeting, which denial was then affirmed on appeal by a Single Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. The trial court then issued an injunction in favor of our client preventing the minority stockholders from refusing the accept and implement the votes taken at the meeting.
